Hello! I am Dr. Monique Jordan. I’m an overcoming, learning and growing, Spiritually minded, African-American female, partner 42 years married, mother of 6, community leader, auntie, sister, friend. Growing up in the Deep South, I experienced significant trauma due to racism, poverty, and other factors. Mental health support was scarce back in those days. However, community and family were very important factors to my wellbeing. Watching people the people I love, including myself, navigate life without the some vital mentorship inspired me to become a licensed mental health counselor. I created "I Was Thinking" to provide the resources and support I wished I had growing up.
"I Was Thinking… A Guided Journal” is designed to encourage self-discovery and personal growth. The main themes include self-appreciation, forgiveness, and commitment.
Some key prompts we’ll be exploring are:
"11 things I appreciate about myself"
"What is one thing I need to forgive myself for?"
"What is one commitment I want to make to myself?"
These exercises help readers start from a place of strength as they begin their journey through the journal.
Feedback from users has been incredibly positive. Many have expressed how the journal helped them navigate trauma, divorce, and even learning how to be a better partner. Many have told me, "The things I’ve learned from your journal, I will use for the rest of my life."
FYI.ai was instrumental in bringing this journal to life. We used it to carefully wordsmith the prompts and organize the content, making the journal both supportive and accessible.
Thank you for your time and attention. I'm excited to answer any questions you may have about my journey or the journal. For those interested in exploring "I Was Thinking" further, you can find more information and purchase details.
Goal: Continuing to Scale and Expand my company (S.A.F.E.)
