Fuzzy Fantabulous has no shortage of personality, just as his name suggests.
The music veteran with more than 25 years in promotion and radio has touched all areas of the industry, making him a true ironman in the music enterprise.

Born in Compton, California, William West has been known as Fuzzy for his entire life–a name given to him by his family before he was born because of his hairy father.
In the 9th grade, Fuzzy realized he wanted to be a sound man–the idea ignited through a quick conversation in an auditorium with the sound man for a Robert Plant concert. He began monitoring the sound in his local church soon after, and once he got into music he never quit.

In 1992, Fuzzy began his career as a sound man for the alternative rap group The Pharcyde during a promotional tour for their debut album ‘Bizarre Ride II The Pharcyde.’ He also met his soon-to-be best friend Big Boy, who was working as security for the group.

In 1994, West handled street promotions for the record companies Bad Boy, Wild Pitch, Payday, Relativity, Warner Bros., and John Singleton’s New Deal Records. Later that same year, his new appointment as Payday’s National Director of Promotions afforded him the opportunity to work on projects including Jeru The Damaja, Showbiz & AG, and Group Home.
A year later, West became Warner Bros. Records’ Co-National Rap Director of Promotions, working with recording talents such as Bush Babees, The D.O.C., RBX and Chino XL.
After a two-year stint, he joined L.A. radio station Power 106 as their part-time overnight on-air talent. Soon after, he moved forward to co-hosting Friday Night Flavas with The Baka Boyz and Mr. Choc.
During a meeting at Warner well into his career, a co-worker pointed out that Fuzzy was a connector–he always had his hands in something and seamlessly connected the dots that pinpointed artists to an elevated career, which prompted him to begin using the tagline #TheConnector.

In 1999, West joined Power 106’s Big Boy’s Neighborhood morning show as an on-air sidekick to his now best friend, Big Boy. He later became the show’s coordinator where he focused on booking talent and pitching show content.
In 2010, Fuzzy moved into artist relations for Stampede Management, where he organized events for artists and producers including Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik, Xzibit, YG, and Murs, to name a few. In 2013, fellow Compton native Dr. Dre personally recruited Fuzzy to oversee his new Beats 1 Radio show on Apple Music, The Pharmacy.

Fuzzy’s mentality of taking on every new opportunity as it comes has evolved his 25-year career. As he transitioned into another opportunity, Fuzzy set up roots as the Assistant Music Director of the Los Angeles hip-hop station Real 92.3 in 2015, where he actively contributed to Big Boy’s morning show.
A year later, he took on the role of General Manager of Priority Records. The label was revamped from its early rap heyday and changed its focus to distribution, where Fuzzy signed and released music for breaking acts including G Perico and AD. He then went on to become Vice President of Artist Relations and Strategy at Motown Records where he worked closely with artists including NE-YO and BJ The Chicago Kid.
Fuzzy is now on to his entrepreneurial endeavor with The Connector Management and Consulting, starting with his first artist, Atlantic records signee Jayson Cash.
